Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement) .
3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
4. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering fluid cooler.
5. Loosen the front bumper fascia enough to pull it forward and remove the power steering fluid cooler bracket bolt (1). Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
6. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bracket nut (3).
7. Remove the power steering fluid cooler (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the power steering fluid cooler (2) to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
2. Install the power steering fluid cooler bracket bolt (1).
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
3. Install the power steering fluid cooler bracket nut (3).
Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
4. Secure the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
5. Connect the power steering cooler hose to the power steering fluid cooler.
6. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
7. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement) .
8. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair) .
