Secondary Air Injection Pump Inlet Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LCV) Air Cleaner Outlet Duct ReplacementAir Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG) Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.




2. Disconnect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) from the air cleaner assembly (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

3. Raise and properly support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




4. Disconnect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) from the secondary air injection pump (2).

5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Slide the secondary air injection pump inlet hose canister (1) upwards to remove the canister from the bracket (2) and remove the inlet hose assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Reposition the secondary air injection pump inlet hose to the vehicle.




2. Install the secondary air injection pump inlet hose canister (1) to the bracket (2).

3. Raise and properly support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




4. Connect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) to the secondary air injection pump (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Connect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) to the air cleaner assembly (2).

7. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LCV) Air Cleaner Outlet Duct ReplacementAir Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG) Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
