F No ABS Indicator

F1- Check Cluster Fuse
- Check instrument cluster fuse 15(10A) in fuse junction panel.
- Is the fuse OK?
YES - Go to F3.
NO - Go to F2.

F2- Check For Short in Circuit 640
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Remove instrument cluster Fuse 15(10A).
- Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250.
- Measure the resistance of circuit 640 (R/Y) wire between the fuse terminal and ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
YES - Service short in instrument cluster.
NO - Service circuit 640 (R/Y) wire between the interior fuse and instrument cluster for short to ground.

F3- Check For Open Circuit
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Disconnect 4 pin connector C141 and 14 pin connector C142 at ABS unit.
- Jumper pin C142-1 circuit 603 (DG) of 14 pin connector to ground.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Does ABS indicator illuminate?
YES - Go to F8.
NO - Go to F4.

F4- Check Power Supply To Cluster
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Remove instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
- Disconnect the 16 pin connector C251 from instrument cluster connector.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Measure voltage at pin C251-10 of the 16 pin connector.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
YES - Go to F5.
NO - Replace bulb.

F5- Check Anti-Lock Warning Indicator Bulb
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Remove the anti-lock lamp bulb.
- Measure the resistance between the two bulb terminals.
- Is the resistance approximately 15 ohms?
YES - Go to F6.
NO - Replace indicator bulb.

F6- Check Circuit 603 Between Instrument Cluster And ABS Control Module
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Measure the resistance between pin C141-2 (Y) of the 4-pin connector and pin C142-1 (DG) of the 15 pin connector.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES - Go to G7.
NO - Service circuit 603 (Y) for an open. Circuit 603 changes color from DG to Y as it passes through the harness connector.

F7- Check Circuit 603 Between Instrument Instrument Cluster And ABS Control Module
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".

NOTE: Circuit 603 changes color from DG to Y as it passes through the harness connector.

- Measure the resistance between pin C141-2 (Y) of the 4-pin and pin C251-12 of the instrument cluster connector.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES - Go to F8.
NO - Service circuit 603 (Y) for an open.

F8- Check ABS Control Module Ground
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Measure resistance between pin C1241-1 circuit 57 (BK) of the 4-pin connector and ground
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES - Service circuit 57 (BK) for an open.
NO - Replace the anti-lock brake control module.
