1 Central Air Door Motor (V70)

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Removing and installing => [ Central Air ] Climatronic Control Motors

• Replacing: Initiate Basic Setting function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting

2 Left Temperature Door Motor (V158)

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Removing and installing => [ Left Temperature ] Climatronic Control Motors

• Replacing: Initiate Basic Setting function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting

3 Defroster Door Motor (V107)

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Removing and installing => [ Defroster ] Climatronic Control Motors

• Replacing: Initiate Basic Setting function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting

5 Screws

• Bolts must be unscrewed to separate air distributor and evaporator housing.

6 Cover

7 Vehicles through 04.07 recirculation door motor (V113), from 05.07 the recirculation door motor (V113) is discontinued.

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Removing and installing => [ Recirculation ] Climatronic Control Motors

• Replacing: Initiate Basic Setting function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting

8 Vehicles through 04.07 air flow door motor ( V71); from 05.07 fresh air/recirculating air/back pressure Door motor position sensor (V425)

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Removing and installing => [ Air Flow, through 04.07 ] Climatronic Control Motors on vehicles through 04.07

• Removing and installing => [ Fresh Air/Recirculating Air/Back Pressure, from 05.07 ] Climatronic Control Motors on vehicles from 05.07

• Replacing: Initiate Basic Setting function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model) => [ Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting ] Climatronic A/C System with Automatic Control, Checking and Adjusting

9 Housing for air entry

• With recirculating air door

• With air flow door (Climatronic)

10 Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89 )

• only installed on vehicles through 12/05

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• Function: Temperature sensor controls temperature door and fresh air blower depending on temperature

• for removal, remove instrument panel

11 Evaporator housing: Upper part

• Disassembling and assembling evaporator housing => [ Evaporator Housing Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation

12 Evaporator housing: Lower part

• Disassembling and assembling evaporator housing => [ Evaporator Housing Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation

13 Evaporator

• Removing and installing => [ Evaporator ] Service and Repair

14 Evaporator Temperature Sensor (G308) or Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263)

• Checking, use: Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) (or succeeding model)

• One or both of the component designations will appear, depending on software. The tasks are the same.

• Removing and installing => [ Evaporator Vent ] Service and Repair

15 Connection for glove compartment cooling

• to remove, remove glove compartment

17 Fresh Air Blower (V2) with Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126)

• on vehicles from 11/05, Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126) can be replace separately

• Fresh Air Blower (V2), removing and installing => [ Fresh Air Blower ] Service and Repair

18 Dust and pollen filter

• With activated charcoal filter

20 Heat exchanger

21 Right Temperature Door Motor (V159)
