Installation Information

- Using double cartridge pistol (VAS 5237), apply adhesive material all around on primed area - 1 - and onto cut back adhesive head at right angle to window.





CAUTION!
The window must be installed within 10 minutes or the adhesive will not bond well.

• Insert window into window cut out using two double suction lifters (V.A.G 1344), center and press in up to spacer.

• Secure windshield using window adjuster (443 845 631 A) during curing time.

• Always install the plenum chamber cover as described under=> [ Plenum Chamber Cover Assembly Overview ] Service and Repair.

• Replace any stickers, such as the ones for the airbag.

• Insert rubber seal for axle of rear windshield wiper motor into rear window.

• Activator must not be applied onto distributing wire for window heater.

• Markings are placed at left and right on rear window for applying adhesive material.

• After installing, sides of rear window must not project out beyond the contour of the rear lid under any circumstances!

• Secure the rear window with adhesive tape while the adhesive cures.

• If too much adhesive was applied and it spreads onto the window defroster, remove the excess.
