Check the windshield washer pump.

• The following illustration shows the two piece version of the washer fluid reservoir with the windshield washer pump installed. The procedure for removing and installing the windshield washer pump in a one piece reservoir is the same.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).

- Loosen the front bumper cover.

- Release and disconnect the hose connection - 2 - from the windshield washer pump - 3 - and use a suitable container to collect the washer fluid.






- Pull the windshield washer pump - 3 - upward out of tank and disconnect harness connector - 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Procedures.

Checking the windshield washer pump

The windshield washer pump function can be checked with the Vehicle electrical system control module (J519) output diagnostic test mode. Refer to => [ Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Output Diagnostic Test Mode.
