A/C Display Control Head with Climatronic Control Module

• Removing in the Passat from MY 2006 and in the Passat CC from MY 2009 is identical.

• The Climatronic Control Module (J255) and the A/C Control Head (E87) are one component that cannot be disassembled.

• If the A/C display control head (E87) and the Climatronic control module (J255) were replaced, then the "A/C compressor first breaking-in" must be reset. Refer to => [ Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components ] Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B) (or newer model) " guided functions". Then "replace the Climatronic control module ".

Removing

- Remove center instrument panel trim.

- Remove the screws - 2 - and then remove the A/C control head (E87) and the Climatronic control module (J255) - 1 - from the instrument panel.





- Disconnect harness connectors from A/C Control Head (E87).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

If the A/C display control head (E87) and the Climatronic control module (J255) were replaced, then the "A/C compressor first breaking-in" must be reset. Refer to => [ Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components ] Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B) (or newer model) " guided functions". Then "replace the Climatronic control module ".
