• As a running change beginning in 11.2003, a modified Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107) and a modified Climatronic Control Module (J255). Only sunlight photo sensor with part number 4E0 907 539 must have been/must be installed for Climatronic control module with part number without or up to index C. Only sunlight photo sensor with part number 8P0 907 539 must have been/must be installed for Climatronic control module with part number beginning with index D.

• If the allocation between the sunlight photo sensor and the Climatronic control module is incorrect, the Climatronic control module cannot evaluate the signal from the sunlight photo sensor and the A/C system control will malfunction.

• No sunlight photo sensor is installed on vehicles with manually regulated A/C system.

- Switch off ignition.

- Carefully pry cover - A - out of front windshield defroster vent..





- Carefully pry sunlight photo sensor - B - out of front windshield defroster vent.

- Disconnect connector - C -.

• Do not interchange sunlight photo sensor - B - (4 electrical connections) with light emitting diode for central locking system and interior monitoring system - D - (2 electrical connections).
