Digital Sound System Control Module (J525), MMI, from 11.2008

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

The digital sound system control module is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim on the top of the Infotainment rack.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing

- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment

- Disconnect all of the connectors from the digital sound system control module.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - (5 Nm) at digital sound system control module - 2 - and remove digital sound system control module - 2 - from the bracket - 3 -.






Installing

- Perform the installation in reverse order.
