Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

^ Tools Required
- J 36660 Torque Angle Meter






1. Remove the transmission assembly.

IMPORTANT: Do not reuse the flywheel bolts.

2. Remove eight mounting bolts and remove the flywheel and the reinforcement.

Installation Procedure






1. Position the flywheel and the reinforcement to the crankshaft and install eight mounting bolts.
^ Using J 36660 Tighten the bolts to 15 Nm + 50 degrees (11 lb ft + 50 degrees).

2. Install the transmission assembly.
