REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Wiper Motor Replacement: Removal Procedure:

Tools Required
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator

1. Remove the wiper arm and blade assemblies.
2. Remove the air inlet screen from the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor assembly crank arm using the J 39232.

4. Remove the electrical connector from the wiper motor assembly.
5. Remove the three screws and the wiper motor assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Wiper Motor Replacement: Installation Procedure:

Tools Required
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

1. Install the wiper motor assembly onto the vehicle with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor assembly.

Wiper Motor Replacement: Installation Procedure:

3. Install the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor assembly crank arm ball using the J 39529. Be sure the socket is fully seated on the ball.
4. Install the air inlet screen onto the vehicle.
5. Install the wiper arm and blade assemblies.
