Cracked Tail Lamp Assembly Due To Overslam Of Rear Compartment Lid (Adjust Overslam/Travel Bumpers)

Condition
Some customers may comment about damage to the inboard corner of the tail lamp assembly.

Cause
This condition may be due to the gap/clearance between the outer edge of the rear compartment lid and the inboard corner of the tail lamp assembly not being sufficient to prevent damage occurring when the rear compartment lid is closed with large amounts of force.

Correction
Adjust the existing overslam/travel bumpers.




1. Turn the rear compartment lid (1) overslam bumpers (2) all the way in.
2. Turn the bumpers 2 -- 2 1/2 turns out.
