Washer Pump Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the lower air deflector.
2. Drain the washer solvent container into a suitable container.
3. Disconnect the washer hose (2) from the washer pump (5).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (7) from the washer pump.
5. Gently pry the washer pump from the container.
6. Remove the washer pump (5) from the washer solvent container.
7. Remove the washer pump grommet from the washer solvent container.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the new washer pump grommet into the washer solvent container.
2. Lubricate the washer pump intake nozzle with clean water to aid in the installation of the washer pump (5) into the washer container.
3. Install the washer pump in the washer solvent container by snapping into place.
4. Ensure the washer pump is secure to the washer solvent container.
5. Connect the electrical connector (7) to the washer pump.
6. Connect the washer hose (2) to the washer pump.
7. Install the lower air deflector.
8. Open the hood.
9. Fill the washer solvent container.
10. Close the hood.
11. Inspect the wiper washer system operation.
