Dome Lamp Replacement Procedure

Models:
2003 Cadillac CTS

This bulletin is being issued to add the Dome Lamp Replacement procedure in the Lighting Systems sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.

Removal Procedure





1. Open the bolt access cover (1).

2. Remove the grounding bolt (2).





3. Pull the rear edge of the housing down below the headliner.

4. Pull the assembly to the rear so that the forward snap hooks release.





5. Slide the lamp assembly to the right disengage the diversity module ground strap (1).

6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connector.

2. Slide the lamp assembly to the right to engage the diversity module ground strap (1).





3. Push the assembly forward so that the snap hooks engage.

Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





4. Install the grounding bolt (2).

Tighten

Tighten the grounding bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Close the bolt access cover (1).
