Interior - Buzz Noise From Choke Relay

Some vehicles may exhibit a choke relay "buzz" condition when the ignition key is turned "off" when the A/C heater mode selector is in the "off" position (no blower operation). This condition has been thoroughly investigated and found to be the relay rather than the generator.

This "buzz" condition can be eliminated by replacing the old relay, P/N 14039662, with a new relay, P/N 14089568, which has a diode in series with the relay coil.

This new relay is an interim release for the 1985 models.
