This bulletin is being reissued to clarify part name, and provide labor operation number and labor time. All copies of Chevrolet Dealer service Bulletin 87-269-3B dated January, 1988 should be destroyed.
Some 1987 Celebrity models with 2.5L engines, (VIN CODE R), may exhibit a slight fluid leakage from the power steering pressure hose connector/pipe assembly.
FIGURE 1:
A new power steering pressure inlet hose assembly, PIN 26012610, has been released for service usage. This new assembly will replace the existing pressure inlet hose assembly, idle speed switch connector and pressure pipe. (See Figure 1).
FIGURE 2:
Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by installation of this new hose assembly following applicable shop manual procedure and referring to Figure 2.
