ENGINE ASSEMBLY (BOTTOM)

Remove

1. Air cleaner assembly.
2. Battery cables.
3. Drain coolant.
4. Battery remote jump-start terminal from body (leave cables attached).
5. Cooling fan electrical connections.
6. Transaxle cooler lines at radiator.
7. Transaxle fluid level indicator.
8. Upper radiator hose from engine and pull back.
9. Lower radiator hose from engine and pull back.
10. Heater outlet hose from water pump.
11. Heater inlet hose at rear of engine.
12. Relieve fuel pressure.
13. Serpentine belt.
14. Shift cable linkage and cable from mounting bracket.

- If necessary, put transaxle is low gear for accessibility

15. Accelerator and cruise control cable (if equipped) from throttle linkage.
16. A/C pressure switch electrical connector.
17. Vacuum check valve at power brake booster.
18. Canister purge vacuum line at engine.
19. Torque Struts at engine.
20. Electrical block connector at right side cowl.
21. Upper bolts securing wiring harness plastic bracket to body side rail.
22. ECM and fuse block and set on engine.
23. Strut to body mounting nuts.
24. Vacuum hose at vacuum reservoir.
25. Raise vehicle.
26. Remaining bolt securing wiring harness plastic bracket to body side rail.
27. Tire and wheel assemblies.
28. Right side splash shield.
29. Oil filter.
30. A/C compressor leaving rear bracket attached to compressor and hang from body.
31. Exhaust down pipe from crossover.
32. Steering gear pinch bolt.
33. Brake hose bracket at strut.
34. Brake calipers.
35. Lower vehicle enough to place engine/transaxle table under frame.
36. Frame bolts.
37. Lower table with powertrain.
38. Raise vehicle.


Install

1. Slowly lower the body onto the powertrain.
2. Bolt struts to shock towers
3. Frame bolts.
4. Remove engine/transaxle table from under frame.
5. Brake calipers.
6. Brake hose bracket at strut.
7. Steering gear pinch bolt.
8. Exhaust down pipe to crossover.
9. A/C compressor.
10. Oil filter.
11. Right side splash shield.
12. Tire and wheel assemblies.
13. Lower bolt securing wiring harness bracket to body side rail.
14. Lower vehicle.
15. Vacuum hose to vacuum reservoir.
16. ECM and fuse block.
17. Remaining bolts securing wiring harness bracket to body.
18. Electrical block connector to right side cowl.
19. Torque struts at engine.
20. Canister purge vacuum line.
21. Vacuum check valve at power brake booster.
22. A/C pressure switch electrical connector.
23. Accelerator and cruise control cable (if equipped) to throttle linkage.
24. Shift cable and linkage to mounting bracket.
25. Serpentine belt.
26. Heater inlet hose to rear of engine.
27. Heater outlet hose to water pump.
28. Lower radiator hose to engine.
29. Upper radiator hose to engine.
30. Transaxle fluid level indicator.
31. Transaxle cooler lines from radiator.
32. Cooling fan electrical connections.
33. Battery remote jump-start terminal to body.
34. Fill all necessary fluid levels.
35. Battery cables.
36. Air cleaner assembly.
