Air Injection Pump Relay: Description and Operation

Air Management Circuit:

Purpose:
The ECM controls operation of the electric air pump relay which in turn controls air availability to the air injection system.

Operation:
The ECM completes the ground to the coil side of the relay. The relay in turn activates the electric air pump.

Location:
The A.I.R. electric Air Pump relay is located on top of the air pump motor.
