REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the control lever boot.
2. Remove transmission control bolts.





3. Clean the old sealant from the extension housing and the transmission control sealing surface.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Apply a continuous 3 mm (0.125 inch) bead of RTV sealant on the extension housing-to-control sealing surface.





2. Install the transmission control bolts.
^ Tighten the transmission control lever bolts to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the control lever boot.
