Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair

A/C Module Assembly:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Instrument panel carrier.
2. Drain cooling system.
3. Recover refrigerant.
4. A/C lines at evaporator.
5. Heater hoses at heater core.
6. Lower heater duct.
7. A/C module bolts (inside passenger compartment).
8. A/C module nuts (engine compartment).
9. Vacuum hoses.
10. Electrical connectors.
11. A/C module.

Install or Connect

1. A/C module.
2. Electrical connectors.
3. Vacuum hoses.
4. A/C module nuts (engine compartment).

Tighten
^ Nuts to 10 N.m (89 lbs. in.).

5. A/C module bolts (inside passenger compartment).

Tighten
^ Bolts to 8 N.m (71 lbs. in.).

6. Lower heater duct.
7. Heater hoses at heater core.
8. A/C lines at evaporator.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb. ft.).

9. Evacuate, charge and leak test system.
10. Fill coolant system and check for leaks.
11. Instrument panel carrier.
