Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment lid lock cable assembly latch.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid applique.




3. Remove the rivets (2).
4. For Oldsmobile models, remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder (3) and shim.
5. For Chevrolet models, remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder gasket (1).

Installation Procedure




1. For Chevrolet models, install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder gasket (1).
2. For Oldsmobile models, install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder (3) and shim.
3. Install the rivets (2).
4. Install the rear compartment lid applique.
5. Install the rear compartment lid lock cable assembly latch. Ensure that the latch is fully seated. This action will engage the locking tabs.
