Gear Select/Skip Shift Solenoid Replacement

- J 41099 Gear Select/Reverse Lockout Solenoid Socket

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the gear select solenoid electrical connector.





3. Using the J 41099, remove the gear select solenoid.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Service Precautions.

Using the J 41099, install the gear select (skip shift) solenoid.
Tighten the gear select solenoid to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect the gear select solenoid electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
