EN-44602 - Water Pump Holder

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools Tools and Equipment.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Front Side) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Front Side)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Rear Side) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Rear Side)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LE9) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LE9).

2. Remove the engine coolant thermostat housing. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LF1) Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LF1)Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LE9) Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LE9).

3. Remove the radiator outlet pipe.





Note:
With nonobservance it can come to a overstress of the timing chain and therefore for damages in components and noise objections.

4. Install the EN-44602 - water pump holder(1).

* Tighten the EN-44602 - water pump holderand rotate in clockwise to tighten the water pump and balancer chain.

* Fix with EN-44602 - water pump holderthe water pump sprocket (2).





5. Remove the 3 fasteners (1) from the water pump chain sprocket.





6. Remove the 2 fasteners (1) from the engine front cover and the engine block.





7. Remove the water pump mounting fasteners (1) and remove the water pump assembly.

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the water pump and tighten the fastener (1) to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).





2. Install the water pump fasteners (1) to the front cover and engine block. Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).





3. Install the water pump chain sprocket fastener and tighten the fastener (1) to 8 Nm (71 lb in).

4. Remove the EN-44602 - water pump holder(1).

5. Install the engine coolant thermostat housing. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LF1) Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LF1)Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LE9) Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LE9).

6. Install the radiator outlet pipe.

7. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Front Side) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Front Side)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Rear Side) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFW-Rear Side)Catalytic Converter Replacement (LE9) Catalytic Converter Replacement (LE9).
