Secondary Air Injection Feed Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the secondary air injection feed tube (2) bracket fastener (1).

2. Raise and properly support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




3. Disconnect the secondary air injection feed tube (1) from the secondary air injection pump (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

4. Lower the vehicle.




5. Disconnect the secondary air injection feed tube (1) from the secondary air injection check valve (2) and remove the feed tube from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Reposition the secondary air injection feed tube to the vehicle.




2. Connect the secondary air injection feed tube (1) to the secondary air injection check valve (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

3. Raise and properly support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




4. Connect the secondary air injection feed tube (1) to the secondary air injection pump (2).

5. Lower the vehicle.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

6. Install the secondary air injection feed tube (2) bracket fastener (1).
Tighten the fastener to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
