Check for piston fluid seal leaks (brake fluid in and around boot areas and lining) and for any ruptures in the piston dust boots. If a dust boot is damaged, or a fluid leak is detected install new piston seals and dust boots on all 4 of the caliper pistons. If a caliper piston is scored it should replaced. DO NOT SAND CALIPER PISTONS TO REMOVE SCORING. Refer to Service and Repair for the service procedure.
