Fig. 6 Initial choke valve clearance adjustment:

1. Fully seat choke diaphragm by applying a minimum of 19 inches of mercuryfrom an external vacuum source, (2) Fig. 6.
2. Open throttle valve slightly to place fast idle screw on high step of cam.
3. Apply light closing pressure to choke lever or rotate choke coil housing toapply closing pressure to choke, (1) Fig. 6.
4. Measure clearance between upper edge of choke place and air horn wall,(3) Fig. 6. To adjust, bend diaphragm connector link, (4) Fig. 6.
