Drive Belt: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION1. Loosen adjustment and pivot bolts.
2. Lift tensioner by rotating it counterclockwise.
3. Remove old belts.
4. Install new belts, ensure proper belt groove contact.
5. On models less automatic tensioners, adjust belt tension as follows:

a. Using belt tension gauge tool No. T63L-8620-A, or equivalent, at mid point between pulleys, loosen accessory adjustment and pivot bolt.
b. Move accessory, do not damage accessory housing.
c. Tighten adjustment bolt.
d. Release pressure.
e. Tighten pivot bolt.
f. Recheck belt tension.
6. On models equipped with automatic tensioners, lift tensioner and slide drive belt under tensioner. Release tensioner to rest on drive belt.
