Ignition Coil Pack

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from coil pack and radio ignition interference capacitor.

Removing Ignition Wires At Coil Pack:





2. Disconnect ignition wires by squeezing locking tabs and twisting while pulling upward.
3. Remove four retaining screws and remove coil pack and radio ignition interference capacitor. Save radio ignition interference capacitor for installation with coil pack.

INSTALLATION
1. Position ignition coil and radio ignition interference capacitor to ignition coil bracket.
2. Install retaining screws and tighten to 4.5-7.0 Nm (40-61 lb in).
3. Apply Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A (Motorcraft WA-10) or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to all ignition wire boots.
4. Install each ignition wire connector to the proper terminal on the coil pack. Make sure boots are fully seated.
5. Connect fuel charging wiring to the coil pack and radio ignition interference capacitor.
