Steering Column: Service Precautions

WARNING: THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY MUST BE DISCONNECTED BEFORE ANY AIR BAG COMPONENT IS SERVICED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

NOTE: All fasteners are important because they could affect the performance of vital parts and systems. Their failure could result in major service expenses. They must be replaced with fasteners of the same part number if replacement becomes necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during assembly to maintain proper functioning of these parts.
