POWER STEERING PRESSURE GAUGE MODIFICATION
The working pressure of the power steering systems on these cars has been increased, so you will need to modify your existing Power Steering Pressure Gauge Set, T/N 07406-0010000, to service these models.

^ Power Steering Pressure Gauge Hold Valve H/C 1484823, T/N 07406-0010300

^ Power Steering Pressure Gauge H/C 1484831, T/N 07406-0010400

USE WITH:

Power Steering Pressure Gauge Set T/N 07406-0010000.



HOW TO USE:

1. Unscrew and disconnect the shut-off valve assembly from the pressure gauge fitting.

2. Unscrew and disconnect the pressure gauge fitting from the pressure hose.
3. Apply some thread sealant onto the threads of the Hold Valve, Pressure Gauge, Shut-Off Valve, and Pressure Hose.



4. Thread the Hold Valve onto the Pressure Hose, then thread the Pressure Gauge into the Hold Valve.



5. Thread the Shut-off Valve Assembly into the Hold Valve.
NOTE: With the new Pressure Gauge and Hold Valve installed, your Pressure Gauge Set is now the equivalent of T/N 07406-
0010001. For proper identification, you
should mark this new number on the tool.

6. For checking pump pressure, follow the procedures described in the 1983 Prelude Service Manual, page 19-12.
