Circuit Description
The ECM(TCM) provides precise gear shift timing and torque converter lock up by controlling the operation of the automatic transaxle solenoid valves (the Damper clutch control solenoid valve, the shift controls solenoid valve A, B and C, and the pressure controls solenoid valve A and B).

The ECM(TCM) operates these solenoid valves based on input signals from various sensors (for instance, pulse generators and oil temperature sensor). The ECM(TCM) has a built-in self diagnostic feature.
