SERVICE INFORMATION

On some of the Applied Models, the front seat belt tongue may get caught between the front seat back and the door finisher when the door is closed. This may result in damage to the door finisher (Figure 1). The cause of this incident is improper positioning of the seat belt tongue stopper. Use the service procedure on the following page to eliminate this incident.


SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Check dimension "L" for both the left and right front seat belt assemblies. Dimension "L" should be 25-5/8 in. [650 mm].





DIMENSION NOTE: "L" = the distance between the belt tongue stopper centerline and the belt webbing hole centerline on the belt attaching bracket (Figure 2).


2. If the belt does not meet the specified dimension, move the tongue stopper along the belt webbing until it does. This will ensure that the seat belt tongue does not contact/damage the door finisher when the door is closed.
