Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Removing Air Intake Duct:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the intake air duct (for left bank only)

Ornament Cover Removal:

2. Remove the ornament cover for the ignition coils.

Ignition Coil Bracket Removal:

3. Remove the ignition coil terminal connector.

Ignition Coil Locations:

4. Remove the hold-down bolts for the ignition coil(s) and lift the coil assembly straight up.

Ignition Coil:

INSTALLATION
1. Apply a small amount of di-electric compound to the inside of the ignition coil boots.

Ignition Coil Bracket Removal:

2. Reinstall the ignition coil and tighten the fasteners.

Removing Air Intake Duct:

3. Reinstall the air intake duct if removed.
