KEY POINTS PROVIDING INFORMATION

ON OPERATION OF CABRIOLET TOP
The following information is provided to acquaint dealers with the XJ-SC Cabriolet model.

GENERAL NOTES

Child Safety

The information contained in the Owner's Handbook applies only to Coupe models and not Cabriolet models. Under no circumstances should people, especially babies or children, be allowed to travel in the luggage area behind the front seats.

Side Interior Lights

The two rear side interior lights have three positions:

Down - The light will be "ON" all the time irrespective of switch or door positions.

Center - The light will remain "OFF" at all times.

Up - The light will come "ON" when either door is opened.

Key Identification

Four different types of keys are provided for locking the car as follows:

(1) The all steel domed headed key operates the door, luggage compartment, glove box and petrol filler cap locks. (JLM 476)

(2) The all steel flat headed key operates the locks of the stowage boxes, located behind the front seats. (17H2475)

(3) The all steel dished headed key operates the door and petrol filler cap locks. (JLM 744)



(4) The plastic headed single sided key operates the ignition - steering column lock. (37H 7193/J)


For security reasons, the ignition/steering column lock key number is printed on a self-adhesive label or etched on a disc attached to the key. It is NOT shown on the key or lock.
