Thermal Vacuum Valve: Testing and Inspection

Thermal Vacuum Valve:

1. Remove three vacuum hoses from thermal valve.
2. With engine coolant temperature below 95° F (35° C), vacuum should pass through the upper and middle ports. The lower port should not be connected to either of the other ports.
3. With engine coolant temperature above 95° F (35° C), vacuum should pass through the middle and lower ports. The upper port should not be connected to either of the other ports.

NOTE: These valves were fitted from Engine # 8S57762 up to Engine # 8S64244.
