Wiper and Washer Systems: Service and Repair

Front system

Removal
1. Remove washer tank assembly.
a. Unclip hoses from the hood clips
b. Disconnect washer nozzles
c. Remove washer tank.
d. Disconnect hose from washer motor.

2. Remove washer motor.
a. Disconnect negative battery cable.
b. Remove mounting bolts on washer tank.
c. Gently pull washer tank from side panel, exposing washer motor.
d. Disconnect washer motor harness connector.
e. Remove hose connector at washer motor.

3. Remove wiper motor.
a. Disconnect motor harness connector.
b. Remove wiper motor mounting bolts.
c. Remove link assembly from wiper motor assembly.

Installation
Install rear hatch in reverse order of removal.

Rear system

Removal
1. Remove wiper motor.
a. Remove wiper arm
b. Remove Rear hatch trim.
c. Remove mounting bolts.
d. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector.
e. Remove wiper motor from rear hatch.

2. Remove washer tank.
a. Disconnect negative battery cable.
b. Remove mounting bolts on washer tank.
c. Gently pull washer tank from side panel, exposing washer motor.
d. Disconnect washer motor harness connector.
e. Remove hose connector at washer motor.

Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
