Wiper and Washer Systems: Description and Operation

The Interval Wiper/Washer allows the driver to select LO, HI or Interval (INT) wipe. In INT, the wipes can be spaced one second to fifteen seconds apart.

With the Wiper Switch in the LO or HI position during washer operation, normal wipe action occurs. If the Wiper Switch is in the OFF of INT position during washer operation, the wipers operate in LO. The wipers will continue to operate in LO for several cycles after the washer button is released to dry off the windshield. The wipers then return to OFF or INT operation.

During Interval operation, the wipers make single low speed wipes separated by a variable length pause.
