Antilock Brake Diagnosis

1. Turn power switch on RH side of SUPER STAR II Tester to ON. A steady 00 will appear to signify that STAR tester is ready to start Self Test and receive Service Codes.







NOTE: If the message LO BAT appears in upper LH corner of read-out display and stays on, replace SUPER STAR II Tester's 9-volt battery before continuing with Self Test. The message LO BAT will appear momentarily when power switch is turned off.

2. With ignition still in the OFF position, push Self-Test button in center of SUPER STAR II Tester. A colon should appear in LH side of read-out display.






3. Push Self-Test button again. This deactivates self-test sequence. Colon should disappear.
4. If SUPER STAR II Tester passes above test, proceed with On-Board Self Test. If any service codes appear during Self Test, refer to the On-Board Self Test Service Code Index.Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index
