Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Engine Mounts. Mark VII:

1. Remove fan shroud attaching screws.
2. Raise and support engine using a jack and wood block placed under engine.
3. Remove insulator attaching nuts to No. 2 crossmember, Fig. 2.
4. Disconnect shift linkage.
5. Raise engine sufficiently with jack so insulator stud is remove from crossmember.
6. Remove transmission brace attached at righthand engine mount bracket.
7. Remove engine insulator attaching bolts from cylinder block, then remove insulator.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
