Compass: Description and Operation

With the Ignition Switch in ACC or RUN, voltage is applied to the Outside Temperature/Compass Module. The Outside Temperature/Compass Module displays the current vehicle direction and the outside temperature. Either or both of these can be displayed by pressing the COMP and TEMP buttons on the Module.

The outside temperature display can be changed from ~F to ~C through the 506 (R) wire by depressing the MILES/KM button on the Trip Minder.

The Outside Temperature/Compass Module display will dim when the Main Light Switch is ON. Brightness is controlled by the Headlamp Dimmer Switch on the 19 (LB/R) wire.
