Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms.
1 Remove the nuts (one each side).
2 Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms.
3. Remove the cowl top vent panels.







4. Position the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly aside.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the bolt.
3 Position the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly aside.







5. Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
