Valve Signal

1. Start and operate engine at idle speed until normal operating temperature is obtained.
2. Connect a suitable tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.
3. On automatic transmission models, disconnect brown electrical connector from solenoid valve.
4. Disconnect air hose from air cleaner.
5. Place a finger over open portion of disconnected hose and ensure air is not sucked into air hose while engine is idling.
6. Increase engine speed to approximately 3000 RPM, then quickly decrease engine speed.
7. Ensure air is sucked into air hose until engine speed decreases to 1000---1200 RPM.
