INSPECTION

1. Push the dash pot rod with a finger and make sure the rod goes into the dash pot slowly Fig. 33.
1. Remove finger and make sure the rod comes out quickly.

ADJUSTMENT

1. Warm up engine to the normal operating temperature and run engine at idle speed.
2. Attach a tachometer to the engine.
3. Increase engine speed to 3,000 rpm.
4. Slowly reduce the engine speed and make sure that the dash pot rod touches the lever at 2,400-2,600 rpm.
5. If the function is not correct, loosen the lock nut and adjust by turning the dash pot Fig. 34.
