Rear Disc Brake Caliper Assembly:

Removal:

1. Loosen wheel lug nuts and release parking brake.
2. Raise vehicle and place on jack stands. Remove wheels.

Parking Brake Cable Assembly:

3. Remove parking brake cable and bracket (1).
4. Remove flexible brake line (2), upper and lower mount bolts, and remove caliper (3).
5. Remove V-spring (4), inner/outer pad and shim (5 & 6), and guide plate (7).

Installation:

1. Install guide plate, inner/outer pad and shims, and V-spring.
2. Install caliper, upper/lower mount bolts and flexible brake line. Torque caliper mount bolts to 16-24 Nm (12-17 ft.lbs) and brake line to 22-29 Nm (16-22 ft.lbs).
3. Install parking brake cable and bracket. Torque bracket mount bolt to 45-67 Nm (33-49 ft.lbs).
4. Install wheels and torque lug nuts to 88-118 Nm (65-87 ft.lbs).
5. Add brake fluid to master cylinder and bleed air from system.
6. Adjust the parking brake lever travel.
7. Depress the brake pedal a few times and check that rear brake pads do not drag while rotating the wheel.
