Rear

1. Loosen lug nuts and release parking brake.
2. Raise vehicle and place on jack stands.

Parking Brake Cable Assembly:

3. Remove the wheels and parking brake cable and bracket.

Remove Lower Caliper Mount Bolt:

4. Remove the lower mount bolt and swing the caliper up and secure in place.
5. Remove the V-spring, pads, and shims.
6. Apply grease supplied with the pads to the new shims then attach them to the pads.

Reset Caliper Piston:

7. Reset the caliper piston using SST 49 FA18 602 or equivalent and rotate the piston counterclockwise until fully seated. Align the piston groove with the pad pin of the inner pad.
8. Install the pads and shims to the mounting support and install the pad clip.

Install And Torque Upper And Lower Caliper Mount Bolts:

9. Swing the caliper down onto the mounting support, install the lower mount bolt and torque both upper and lower mount bolts to 16-24 Nm (12-17 ft.lbs).

Parking Brake Cable Assembly:

10. Reconnect the parking brake cable and bracket. Torque bracket mount bolt to 45-67 Nm (33-49 ft.lbs).
11. Install wheels, apply the brakes several times and check that the brakes do not drag while turning the wheels.
12. Lower the vehicle until the wheels cannot rotate and torque lug nuts to 88-118 Nm (65-87 ft.lbs).
