Evaporative Check Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove check and cut valve.
2. Connect suitable pressure gauge to passage of fuel tank.
3. Blow through valve from (A), Fig. 32. Valve should open with pressure of .78-1 psi on 1988 B2200, or .14-.71 psi on all other models.
4. Remove pressure gage and connect it to passage to atmosphere.
5. Apply pressure through valve from B and if valve opens when pressure is .14-.71 psi on B2200 models, or .78-1 on B2600, RX-7 and 929 models, valve is satisfactory. This test must be performed with valve positioned horizontally.
