Hold Switch
Checking Operation
1. Turn ignition switch to On position.
2. Check that hold indicator illuminates while switch is depressed, then release switch and check that mode indicator lights are out.
3. If switch is not working properly, check terminal voltage.
Checking Terminal Voltage
1. Remove console box, then turn ignition switch to On position.
2. Check voltage between terminal with black wire and ground while depressing switch. There should be less than 1.5 volts when switch is released, or approximately 12 volts when switch is depressed.
3. If voltage is as described, check continuity between terminals.
Checking Continuity
1. Disconnect hold switch connector.
2. Check for continuity between terminals while depressing switch. There should be continuity when switch is released and no continuity when switch is depressed.
3. If continuity is not as described, replace hold switch
