Radiator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Remove in the order shown in the image.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.





1. Fresh-air duct
2. Upper radiator hose
3. Lower radiator hose
4. Coolant reservoir hose
5. Oil cooler hoses
6. Radiator cowling assembly
7. Radiator

INSPECTION
Inspect for the following and repair or replace as necessary.

1. Cracks, damage, and water leakage





2. Bent fins (Repair with a screwdriver.)
3. Distorted and bent radiator inlet and outlet

Steps After Installation
1. After radiator cowling installation, rotate the coolant fan by hand and verify that the fan blades do not touch the radiator cowling. If they do, adjust the radiator cowling mounting position.
2. Check the ATF level and add ATF if necessary.
3. Fill the radiator with the specified amount and type of engine coolant.
4. Recheck the ATF and coolant levels.
