Alternator Belt

Inspection
1. Check the drive belts and pulleys for wear, cracks, and damage. Replace if necessary.
2. Measure the drive belt tension by using a SST.
3. Measure the deflection by applying moderate pressure 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf) midway between the pulleys.
4. Adjust the belt if necessary.
