1. Remove the air cleaner.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air control valve and connect a hand vacuum pump to the valve nipple, Fig. 79.

3. Verify that when less than 9.3 kPa (3 in. Hg) of vacuum is applied the cold air side inlet is fully open, Fig. 80.
4. Verify that when greater than 25 kPa (7 in. Hg) of vacuum is applied that the cold air inlet is fully closed, Fig. 80.
5. Re-connect the vacuum hose to its original position.
